"H" v. "F" - Call It Like It Is
This was brought to my attention recently. I support the site and what they stand for, but this particular article I just could not help but to comment. "H's" instead of "F's"? Seriously? This is just another in a long line of Americans becoming soft on the issues (and by issues - I mean any issues). I am so tired of tip-toeing through my days in hopes of not offending someone or worse - hurting their poor little feeling. Boo-Freaking-Hoo. Then I come across this. Ahhhh! To all those who think this is a good idea, you get a big fat "F".

The color red is "too offensive"? I thought it was supposed to be offensive. If you hand a child a piece of paper with a cheery 'f' on it that doesn't encourage them to do better. Rather, it lets them know their grades are okay. I mean it's one thing to write nasty notes all over the test paper, but if you can't grade with red what color can you grade with? I always thought grading with red was so the teacher could make a distinction between what she had written and student work... whatever. I think that article is stupid as well.
